
Two Mustangs collect all-conference honors at GPAC Championships

Olesen turned in a time of 10.67 seconds in yesterday's 100-meter dash prelims, advancing to today's finals, where he improved his standing, moving from sixth to fifth, with a time of 10.69 seconds. His second all-conference honor came this afternoon in the 200-meter dash, where he placed no. 8 with a time of 22.00 seconds.
Hanson's all-conference finish came in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, where a time of 10:06.47 was good for seventh place.
The Mustangs also had top eight finishes in all three relays that competed, placing seventh in the 4x100-meter relay and the 4x400-meter relay with times of 43.87 and 3:26.01, respectively, and finishing eighth in the 4x800-meter relay in 8:26.53.
Morningside will race the clock and the sun on May 10 at the Concordia Twilight Meet, hoping to push for National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics national championship qualifying standards.
