Men's tennis sweeps Red Raiders
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – It was a clean sweep for the Mustangs, defeating Northwestern 7-0 at the Mason Family Tennis Complex in Sioux City Wednesday night.

In doubles, Morningside got the point by winning the first and third flights. Mark Trenkle and Gustav Sjoberg picked up a 6-0 win and Christian Kelly and Mikhil Raja earned a 6-0 win as well. The flight two doubles team of Winyou Asavaruangchai and Abhishek Mohapatra fell 6-4.
In singles play, all six flights won in straight sets. Trenkle won 6-1, 7-6 in the first flight. Skander Ben Abdallah won No. 2 singles 7-5, 6-1 and Sjoberg won the No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-0.
No. 4 singles went in favor of the Mustangs as Roja won 6-1, 6-3 and Joao Pedro Pierry Izoldi Costa won No. 5 singles 6-1, 6-2. Dalton Polesky won the No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-0.
The Mustangs are back in action Friday, Oct. 6 at Grand View.
