SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Two goals in a span of 12 minutes was the difference in Morningside’s 2-0 loss to Receiving Votes Briar Cliff Wednesday night at Elwood Olsen Stadium.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Two goals in a span of 12 minutes was the difference in Morningside's 2-0 loss to Receiving Votes Briar Cliff Wednesday night at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
The Mustangs and Chargers held each other off the board for the first 35 minutes, but Briar Cliff got on the board on a corner kick in the 38th minute. The 1-0 score stood at the half, but a quick goal in the 50th minute gave the Chargers a 2-0 lead that stood for the remainder of the match.
Jona Fischer totaled six shots, all on goal for the Mustangs. Timon Koerber tallied five saves in goal for the Mustangs.
Morningside is back in action at Midland Saturday.
