Mustangs emerge victiorious in 1-0 win over Jamestown

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – As the sun set on Elwood Olsen Stadium, Morningside Men's Soccer prepared for a Great Plains Athletic Conference match with Jamestown. 90 physical minutes later, the Mustangs came off the pitch with a 1-0 victory.
The teams played most of the first period scoreless, until Levi Von Hagen netted what would prove to be the game winner in the 33rd minute.
Morningside out-shot the Jimmies, 21-7, with nine shots on goal to the Jimmies three.
Timon Koerber had three saves for the home team, recording the clean sheet in goal.
The Mustangs head to Orange City on Wednesday, playing the Raiders at 5 p.m.
