
Mustangs take the top spot at Blue River Classic

LINCOLN, Neb. – Two rounds under par led Morningside to a tournament title in the Blue River Classic in Lincoln, Nebraska this week.
Tuesday, Morningside went 2-under par in the opening round and 1-under par in the third round Wednesday to pick up the win. The Mustangs finished the tournament at 10-over par, beating out Doane (+15), Concordia (+20), Northeast Community College (+38) and Hastings (+41) for the title.
Individually, the Mustangs had three golfers in the top 10, led by Pablo Colin, shooting at 1-under par 215. Braden Bernaldo tied for sixth with a three-round total of 219 and Edgar Eriksson tied for tenth with a tournament score of 221. Will Topolski was one shot out of the top 10, placing 12th. Philip Mangset tied for 26th with a score of 228.
Morningside is back in action Monday and Tuesday at the Siouxland Fall Invite hosted by Northwestern and Dordt.
