Skoff's 34 points propels Mustangs to 4-0 start

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Morningside University men's basketball team won its fourth straight game to start the season Saturday with a 92-86 victory over Kansas Wesleyan.

In the same week where he was picked as the GPAC Offensive Player of the Week, Joey Skoff posted 34 points in the win. He was 11-for-16 from the floor and made 11 of 12 free throws.

Skoff also had eight rebounds and eight steals against the Coyotes.

Three other starters scored in double figures. Brendan Buckley scored 15, while Justin Sitti and Aidan Vanderloo both had 12.

Overall, Morningside was 30-for-57 and 22-for-27 from the stripe.

Morningside's defense forced 16 turnovers, and it scored 23 off those Coyote miscues.
