Eight men named to basketball scholar-athlete list

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced its Daktronics Scholar-Athletes for men's basketball, releasing this year's list ahead of the 2024 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship in Kansas City.

Morningside had eight athletes land on this year's list, Brendan Buckley, Charlie Fletcher, Dalton Polesky, Daniel Brocaille, Dylan Johnson, Ely Doble, Ethan Alfers, and Jack Dotzler. 

In order to qualify for the NAIA scholar-athlete program, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, appear on a sport's eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at the current institution.
