Five Mustangs earn GPAC accolades

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Ely Doble and Joey Skoff headlined Morningside's all-conference selections as five Mustangs landed on the Great Plains Athletic Conference first and second team and honorable mention lists.

Doble was named first team all-conference by the league's coaches, averaging 20.5 points per game and shooting 62.7 percent from the floor. The senior center from Gretna, Neb. averaged 5.7 rebounds per game and 2.9 assists per game.

Skoff also landed on the first-team roster, shooting 54.2 percent from the floor and averaging 20.4 points per game. A senior from Omaha, Neb., Skoff averaged 4.0 rebounds per game, 0.9 steals per game, and 2.1 assists per game.

Jack Dotzler was voted second team all-conference, turning in 12.5 points and 4.9 assists per game. The senior, who hails from Omaha, Neb., averaged 3.9 rebounds per game, shot 52.9 percent from the floor, and averaged 1.1 steals per game.

Aidan Vanderloo received an honorable mention nod, following a 10.8 points per game and 50.2 shooting percentage. The senior from Sioux City averaged a pair of rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Brendan Buckley was also named honorable mention, averaging 6.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. The junior from Omaha, Neb., averaged 2.3 assists per game and shot 42.2 percent from the floor.
