SIOUX CITY, IOWA – For the second time this season, Courtney Sporrer has earned Great Plains Athletic Conference Runner of the Week honors, this time following a third-place finish at the Briar Cliff Invitational.
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. – The Morningside University women’s cross country team tied for third place Saturday at the Briar Cliff Invitational at Adams Nature Preserve with 82 points.
Courtney Sporrer was the top runner for Morningside, as the Mustangs were fourth with 106 points.
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Great Plains Athletic Conference revealed its first Cross Country Runners of the week, naming Morningside’s Courtney Sporrer to the post.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Courtney Sporrer headlined the Mustangs’ debut at the Augustana Twilight Meet, taking 24th in a field of National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and National Collegiate Athletic Association athletes. Morningside wound up placing 13th in the field of 30 teams.
On Tuesday, the Mustangs learned they are fifth in the conference preseason poll with 85 points. This season marks the second that the women will run 6,000 meters.
