
Mustangs fall to USF, 6-1
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NEB. – For the second time in as many nights, Morningside and Sioux Falls met in women’s tennis at the First Serve Tennis Center, with the varsity squads clashing today. Sioux Falls came out on top, as the Cougars picked up a 6-1 victory.

The Mustangs got the upper hand early, as Sophia Guntren and Lidia Suarez opened doubles play with a 6-2 win. Line Jensen and Brooke Marshall added a 6-3 victory to claim the doubles point.
Sioux Falls came back in a convincing fashion, running the table in singles play to take the match. Kailee Bailey forced a tiebreaker in her no. 3 singles match, falling 7-6 (6-3), 6-4. Suarez dropped her opener at no. 6, 7-6 (6-3) before coming back to win her second set 7-5 before falling in a 10-4 super tiebreaker.
Morningside is back at First Serve as McPherson comes to town on Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.
