RV Mustangs sweep Park-Gilbert in Arizona finale

Morningside's defense held Park to a minus-.098 on Wednesday, and the Pirates made 33 errors.
On the offensive side, meanwhile, RV Morningside (8-7) hit .211. Michael Padilla led Morningside with five kills, as he was one of 10 Mustangs to have a successful swing in the win.
Tharen Cox had four kills, while Natan Alves and Taysen Ford each had three.
Jacob DePauw recorded a team-high 11 assists, while Gabe Schreck had 10. DePauw and Donavon Chandy had service aces.
Tucker Juhnke had eight digs out of a total of 28 collected by Morningside.
The first few points of the first set were back-and-forth before Morningside took the lead for good at 6-5. Benkrid clinched the first set with a kill assisted by DePauw.
Morningside's longest streak during the second set was six points, as it turned a three-point deficit to a three-point lead. Padilla and Cox had kills in that stretch, while DePauw earned his ace.
In the third set, the Mustangs jumped out to a 10-3 lead. Jennings, Kirby Schmalz, and Ford contributed to the early run. Ford earned the final kill to earn the sweep.
Morningside returns to the Midwest this weekend to play three matches in the Kansas City area.
