GREENWOOD, IND. – The Morningside men’s tennis team added two more individual player accolades to the trophy case today as College Sports Communicators revealed its 2025 Academic All-America teams. The group awarded Mark Trenkle with first team honors and named Alexis Diaz to its second team.

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has named Mark Trenkle a third team All-American for the second consecutive season.

GREENWOOD, IND. – Two Morningside men’s tennis players landed on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the CSC announced. Alexis Diaz and Mark Trenkle represented the Mustangs on the team.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside’s entire men’s tennis lineup earned the status of all-conference, the Great Plains Athletic Conference announced today, as all six members of Morningside’s lineup for the GPAC season received the league’s top distinction. Alex Struck was also named the conference’s coach of the year in the release.

KANSAS CITY, MO. – Morningside’s unblemished men’s tennis record stayed intact as the Mustangs met Missouri Baptist in Kansas City, playing a neutral site match at the Northland Racquet Club. Morningside lost the doubles point, but came back strong with a sweep of singles play to win 6-1.

SAINT PETER, MINN. – Morningside’s men’s tennis team opened the second half of its season on Saturday, defeating National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Gustavus Adolphus, who is ranked no. 16 nationally, 4-3 and DIII Carleton College 6-1.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – A career milestone was passed for head coach Alex Struck, as Morningside’s tennis programs have accumulated more than 100 wins under his leadership. Sitting at 99 wins before the day’s pair of matches, the Mustang men and women made it 101 combined wins as the men added a 6-1 victory over Mount Marty.
